Field Service Technician

This is a Direct Hire opportunity, not a contract position!

Position Summary :

Primary Tasks and Responsibilities :

• Craft and technical services for commercial industry clients.
• Hands-on repairs and preventive maintenance
• Providing customer support for parts and material orders
• Assisting engineers in developing project drawings and technical reports
• Preparing required reports and administrative paperwork
• Accompanying sales personnel for occasional calls and follow-ups

Skills and Knowledge

• Experience with AC and DC electromechanical and solid state motor control systems
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams
• Mechanical experience with gear reducers and drive systems a plus
• Prior overhead crane experience is highly desired
• Must have general computer skills
• Experience with PLC is desired

Work Environment and requirements

• Working in industrial plants above the production floor.
• Occasional overnight travel outside of the region may be required. All travel is reimbursed and a per-diem is paid
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Strong communication skills
• HS diploma or GED preferred

Compensation :

• Up to $83,000 per year for candidates with very strong technical skills and experience working with Electro-Mechanical systems
• Candidates with less work experience and transferable skills can start up to $41,000 per year.
• Employee Bonus Plan : Based on sales to existing clients while on general maintenance calls. There is no quota assigned and selling additional services and parts is not required.

Work Schedule

The work schedule is targeted at 40 hours per week. Additional overtime is generally available.

Compensation

• Base Salary up to $83,000 / yr for highly qualified canididates.
• Additional Bonus available
